Newcastle City Centre Investment Acquired for North East Property Company

Johnson Tucker have recently acquired an attractive Grade II Listed Building in Newcastle City Centre for a North East based property company for £1.2m.

23-29 Collingwood Street is prominently positioned in the heart of Newcastle City Centre, very close to Central Station and is in amongst Newcastle’s vibrant leisure scene with a number of bars and restaurants positioned close-by.

The ground floor comprises COOP Chicken House restaurant, The Camera Shop sandwich deli and The Continental ‘Gin Palace’ & restaurant. There are a further 4 floors of offices let to tenants including Medical Architecture and Spontly App Design.

The property was purchased by investment agent and partner at Johnson Tucker, Daniel Capobasso who commented on the transaction “This is a fantastic addition to my clients growing property portfolio! The intention now is to transform the upper floors with a contemporary refurbishment project, which in turn once fully let will add value to the investment”.

The office refurbishment project is due to start immediately and accommodation will be available for January 2019. Johnson Tucker will be retained to let the newly refurbished offices once completed.
