May 2014 – David Johnson Appointed to RICS Panel of Arbitrators

Following training and study with the RICS Dispute Resolution Service, exams and selection interview David Johnson has been appointed by the RICS to the President’s panel of Arbitrators. David has dealt with rent reviews and lease renewals throughout his career and has regularly represented Landlords and Tenants in both written and oral hearings.

David says 99% of leases provide for the President of the RICS to appoint an Independent Expert or Arbitrator and the parties to the lease can jointly agree on who should take this role.

Arbitration is a specialist area of work and having successfully completed the formal training and RICS selection process David looks forward to receiving further appointments to resolve rent and lease renewal disputes in the region.

David is also regularly instructed as by Solicitors as Valuation Expert in connection with property disputes and negligence claims.
