Johnson Tucker LLP successfully acquires Grade II Listed Retail Parade for Retained Client

SUCCESSFULLY ACQUIRED FOR A CLIENT IN Q1 2017
We kicked off 2017 with the acquisition of Saltburn Station, a multi let retail parade comprising 12 tenants in the heart of Saltburn by the Sea. The seaside town has recently landed a place in The Sunday Times list of Best Places to Live. Here’s what The Times had to say:
“Saltburn is famous for the fish and chips at the Seaview Restaurant, but new businesses are popping up all the time, with a florist, a microbrewery and an interiors shop opening in the past six months. There’s a weekly farmers’ market and an annual food fair, and the lively town centre is full of art galleries, antiques shops and jewellery stores. It’s a reminder that the town’s advantages stretch beyond the beach.”
This Grade II Listed building is fully let and home to a variety of local occupiers including Saltburn Station Gallery and Signals Bistro, among others. The building is ideally located, nestled between Sainsbury’s Supermarket and Saltburn Railway Station at the intersection of Dundas St and Station Road in the heart of the town. Constructed in 1862, the property comprises the former railway station buildings which have been converted  to provide a retail parade, totalling ten retail units.
Johnson Tucker were subsequently instructed to manage the building and have been busy renewing leases and improving the condition building, giving our client an excellent opportunity to add value through pro-active and intelligent asset management.
